Electrical testing and reactive engineer

Overview

To support the growth of electrical maintenance works within the electrical team we are looking to employ an experienced testing and reactives electrician.
You will be required to carry out EICR testing, reactive and small works across London and surrounding areas.

Expected Deliverables

Engineering

  • Ability to test and inspect electrical systems of various sizes and complexity.
  • Ability to work with testing software and company CRM systems
  •  Ensure that the appropriate spares, consumables and test equipment required to complete assigned tasks are available on the company vehicle provided.
  • Accurate and efficient fault reporting, reactive planning and completion of documentation
  • To be an active member of the on-call team
  • At the completion of each visit close or update the RDS system with the call status and relevant associated documents.
  • Working under own initiative

Administration

  • Provide good quality written details of activities completed at customers’ sites.
  • Report any site left non-operational following a site visit
  • Fully complete all paperwork/time sheets/electronic mail in a timely manner

Sales

  • Make recommendations for additions/replacements to improve customers’ existing systems and feed this information back to the Company.
  • Provide accurate information to enable quotations to be prepared for the customer

Health and Safety

Essential
C&G 2330 electrical qualification or equivalent
C&G 2391 test and inspection or equivalent
18th edition
Full Driving License

Desirable
CSCS/ECS, Asbestos Awareness, First Aid
Knowledge of NICEIC online

Location and travel requirements
London and surrounding areas. You will be provided with a vehicle of suitable size and fuel card.

Remuneration range and benefits available
Basic salary range: £35000 – £38000  depending on experience .~
Overtime available
40 hours a week 08:00-16:30
Travel time paid after 30 min each way.
Standby: £150 per week
Call out: 1.5 door to door
25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.

Senior Service and Small Works Smoke Control engineer

Overview

Service and fault finding of Smoke control systems across the London area, completing repairs, small works and projects of varying values gaining customer acceptance of the works and providing training where required. The role will predominately require product knowledge of a range of smoke control equipment such as SE controls, Colt, Group SCS for example. Knowledge and ability to maintain Fire alarms is an advantage.

 Additional senior engineer responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for other engineers
  • Provide fault finding support to other engineers
  • Assisting team leader with auditing of engineers for AOV
  • Support service manager with quotations especially AOV related remedial and upgrade works potentially coming into the office as required

Progression

Within this engineering role there is an opportunity for the right person to progress to Team leader for Smoke control.

Within this progression you will be required to support the wider business with smoke control compliance and technical requirements including maintaining SDI19 accreditations, developing systems and processes within the engineering teams to ensure we deliver a great service, completing quotations, auditing of engineers.

There is also an interest within our business to grow our smoke control offering both projects and maintenance services and so with the right person we are open to creating a head of Smoke control role when the time is right.

Full Driving Licence

Working knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel.

Working knowledge of SE controls, Colt and SCS smoke control systems

Min 5 years experience working on Smoke control systems with a sound knowledge of current regulations.

Desirable

CSCS/ECS, Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, First Aid

Salary:  £40,000 year. OTE 55K

Security Systems Installation Engineer

Overview

To carry out CCTV, Intruder, Access and intercom Installations of varying value from customer acceptance to Handover/training. Reporting to the Installation team leader to successfully deliver projects through to completion on time and on budget.

Remuneration range and benefits available

Salary: negotiable, depending on experience. Up to £38,000.00 /year
OTE 45-50K
40 hours a week. Hours are flexible to suit business needs but generally day working. Occasional night work will be required notified in advance.
Overtime available – opportunity to earn more if desired.
